REEF POTASSIUM is a liquid source of potassium. The formulation has been studied and adapted in our Research and Development laboratory to be perfectly assimilable by corals at the times of greatest demand and is in such a form as to be easily assimilated. Potassium (symbol K) is another fundamental element for aquariums and is very important for hard corals. This chemical element is involved in numerous physiological processes that occur along the coral cells, it is a very important component for the formation of its calcareous skeleton and is a fundamental element for the metabolism of zooxanthellae as they are directly involved in the synthesis of sugars by photosynthesis. Potassium has the ability to stimulate coral chromoprotein synthesis, resulting in accentuation of their colours.
